CHANDLER, Ariz - Enertron Inc., the thermal management company known for its custom heat sink, thermal design and manufacturing capabilities, has moved into a new 12,000 square-foot headquarters here. The custom designed facility has warehouse space, executive offices and a thermal management technical center that includes a state-of-the-art laboratory for testing and analysis.
The move from nearby Mesa was prompted by the need to accommodate an influx of companies asking Enertron to apply its thermal management expertise into an expanding variety of applications.
“We are a custom design and manufacturing company, specializing in providing total thermal solutions,” stated Mr. DJ Chou, president of Enertron. “In 1993, we were the first company in the world to design a heat pipe solution for the 486 laptop computer, and began production of heat pipe cold plates for laptop applications soon after. Presently, heat pipes are a critical component of every laptop. We’re now working in many more industries such as telecommunications, military, aerospace and medical as well as other micro-electronics industries.”
Chou said the location choice was determined by the area’s high number of technical professionals, typified by IT, semi-conductor and aerospace manufacturers and the nearby Arizona State University research park. “Chandler is the most advanced technology city in Arizona. Being here will help provide the talented people for our continued growth.

Enertron engineers work with their customers to develop designs or refine concepts. Enertron facilities can provide prototypes and also manufacture the end products. “We can provide low to very high production quantities,” he explained. “For example, medical testing equipment clients come to us because they need a concise limited production run, while laptop makers need greater quantities. Our plant is set up to accommodate both, efficiently and with great cost effectiveness.”
